Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia's reported breakup is attracting far more attention than the couple ever did over the course of their relationship. So far, reasons for the couples split have ranged from their 12-year age difference to Panettiere's alleged canoodling with pop star Jesse McCartney, but now even more rumours are emerging.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Panettiere and Ventimiglia decided to split because the couple experienced a pregnancy scare - but the test turned out negative. (Probably for the best - a Heroes baby would show a lot of promise in the first year, but then would go into a steep decline until people wondered why the parents even bothered having a kid in the first place.) Still, the alleged incident was reportedly so stressful that the romance couldn't recover.
But, even more puzzling, E! News reports that Ventimiglia and Panettiere haven't broken up at all. Sources close to the couple say that they're still together and they still seem happy and comfortable around each other.
"Milo and Hayden are an intensely private couple, so everything out there in the press is speculation and hearsay," said one insider. "Only they know what's really going on. They never acted 'together' on set, and they still aren't acting 'together' now."
Yes, we've all seen their acting skills - and, as usual, we're not convinced.
